Queen Elizabeth met the Archbishop of Canterbury on Tuesday in what came as a surprising outing for the monarch, and was seen without a walking stick as she calmed down with growing concerns about her health.
Som pr Express UK, the 96-year-old monarch stepped out on Tuesday to receive Canterbury Cross at Windsor Castle for her contribution to the Church of England.
The engagement, in which she met Archbishop Justin Welby, came as a surprise to many after the Queen missed the Garter Day procession, as well as several platinum anniversary events and the state opening of parliament in recent months.
Queen Elizabeth withdrew from her anniversary celebrations after complaining about ‘discomfort’ and was then seen wearing what appeared to be a crutch during the garters day. This meant that concerns about her health and mobility issues continued to escalate.
Therefore, this recent excursion proved to be a welcome respite for royal enthusiasts as they saw the Queen go without any walking helper when she met the Archbishop.
