Manchester United are interested in picking up Christian Eriksen on a free transfer this summer. Eriksen suffered a cardiac arrest at last summer’s European Championship, and he left Inter Milan after that incident.
The player made his comeback to football in January earlier this year when he came to Brentford on a six-month loan deal. After contributing a goal and four assists in 11 games for Brentford, Eriksen is now available on a free transfer and Thomas Frank’s team would like to sign the midfielder permanently, but they face competition from United for his signature.
The Manchester Evening News understands that Erik ten Hag wants to get Frenkie de Jong and Eriksen to reshape United’s midfield this summer, although it is believed the latter could be persuaded to sign for Brentford as his family has settled in London.
