Andrew Gillum, Former Florida Gubernatorial Candidate, Is Indicted on Fraud Charges

Former Democratic Party rising star Andrew Gillum, who came within a half percentage point of being elected governor of Florida in 2018, has been indicted on federal charges including wire fraud and was arrested Wednesday.

Mr. Gillum, 42, denied the allegations, which he described as politically motivated. He pleaded not guilty in an initial court appearance in Tallahassee, Fla., and was released, according to a court filing.
